Union Station Chicago Wedding

Union Station Chicago Wedding

Union Station is one of the most beautiful buildings in downtown Chicago and the vision of world renowned architect Daniel Burnham, the same architect that designed another one of my favorite Chicago buildings - The Rookery. The intricate design and romance of it all will leave you wanting to spend hours in awe of every single detail. But nothing is quite as spectacular as a wedding in the Great Hall at Union Station. Not only does it fit over 700 guests (seated), but it offers the ability to break up the space and transform it into several different smaller spaces to host everyone attending your event throughout the evening. Sarah and Ryan, with the help of their amazing planner, Chrissy Magliano of Big City Bride, had the Great Hall divided into two separate areas for their September wedding. A large cocktail room with a beautiful circular bar, a living champagne wall, lounge plus table seating for their guests and a ceremony room that was transformed to host reception during cocktail hour. Hiring a Chicago wedding photographer with a deep appreciation for architecture and the ability to incorporate that as a perfect backdrop to their wedding pictures, was important for the couple and one of the reasons why they chose to work with us for their big day.
