Cafe Brauer is one of my favorite Chicago wedding venues! I also find that the couples that choose it as their wedding venue are very artistic and pour a lot of love into every single detail of their big day. They also have a deep appreciation for film photography which you will see a lot of at this wedding. Dana & James chose a color palette of rich jewel tones and gold, which perfectly matched the groomsmen traditional Scottish highland wear. Pair that with a vintage getaway car and a Big Star taco food truck for late night snacks and you have the perfect summer Cafe Brauer Chicago wedding .

The day started with getting ready photos at The Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago. A great backdrop for the classic, timeless look of the wedding. Dana and James chose to do a first look under the gazebo across the Drake with views of the lake and beautiful tree lined alleys in the park nestled right in between Lake Shore Drive and Oak Street. Hiring a hybrid Chicago wedding photographer that has the ability to shoot both in film and digital formats was important to the couple as they loved the whimsical look of film photography and felt it perfectly complimented their historic Chicago wedding venue.
