Although they are from the same hometown, Alex and Kelsey had not met until introduced by a mutual friend during their final year of college. Alex was attending the University of Illinois, where Kelsey travelled occasionally from the University of Iowa to visit friends. Their relationship started as friends and soon turned into something more. After dating for 3 years long distance and 3 years in Chicago, Alex proposed on the beautiful grounds of the Chicago Botanical Gardens.
Alex and Kelsey wanted to close out the summer with a bang, well more of a loud roar of the Blue Angels flying overhead. For their wedding day, they envisioned a traditional ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral preceding an entertaining and inimitable party at Morgan Manufacturing that everyone would remember. Rather than a look, they wanted to create a feeling for their guests. A feeling of romance with greenery cascading off ceiling lamps and flowers blanketing the long wooden tables. A feeling of intimacy with hundreds of candles, string lights, and low lighting creating a dim amber air. A feeling of delectation with champagne welcome drinks, live music and dessert buffet. morgan manufacturing wedding.
